Den Hollinden honors local winners with his "Basketball Song"

Letter from the Rangers to Den thanking him for writing and recording 'The Basketball Song'
Forest Park Rangers thank Den for writing/recording "Basketball Song"

The Forest Park Ranger boys basketball team were the winners of the state 2a championship in 2005. Den Hollinden wrote and recorded his "Basketball Song" to commemorate the feat. The team won the same championship again in 2006.

"The Basketball Song" debuts at sports banquet:
The song was heard for the very first time by the public, by the public who appreciate it most--the Forest Park Ranger basketball team, cheerleaders and fans. The song wasn't even technically finished at the time. In order to make the banquet, Den mixed and mastered a special version of it just for them. They passed out copies of the lyrics and everybody sang along.

"Basketball Song"-fueled skit:
Forest Park elementary school 5th graders chose to honor the Forest Park high school basketball victory by creating and performing a skit to the tune of Den Hollinden's "Basketball Song." All the attention given to the song by the tiny town of Ferdinand, Indiana and the surrounding communities that feed Forest Park--especially by the students themselves--prompted Hollinden to name the EP that contained the song Little Time, a play on the phrase associated with show business success: hitting the big time.
